Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 29-10-2016

I didn’t know if I mentioned it, but I’m a bit of A Status Quo fan.

I’ve usually had something by the band lurking in my record collection for most of my life.

I’ve even had the pleasure of seeing them live, a few times.

So a sad bit of news has floated across my news feeds, this morning.

Rick Parfitt, one of two of the band’s members, has decided to retire from touring: as a result of his health.

It’s sad.

Mind you, I can’t say I blame him.

He suffered his third heart attack, only a few months ago.

Still: the band’s going to be a different beast, without him!

But let’s move on, shall we?

Yesterday’s Teaser saw both Debbi* and Olga† putting in their ideas: with Debbi scoring nine out of ten, and Olga bagging ten.

Let’s see how everyone does with today’s questions, shall we?

Here they are, along with the How To, License and video …

Q5) Finally … 29th October 1991, saw the US Galileo spacecraft make its closest approach to 951 Gaspra.   951 Gaspra is what: a meteorite, comet or asteroid?
Here’s yesterday’s questions and answers …

I’ll leave you with this thought …
“I am not a person who can really sit around and think about regrets because with every bad experience that you have, there is weirdly something good that comes from it.”
Winona Ryder, born 29th October, 1971.
And, as it’s Peter Green’s birthday?

This song …

Enjoy your day!

*        Oh, isn’t it … ?   At ANY rate, Debbi, did you hear about The Power of the Daleks?   It Was Patrick Troughton’s first story as the Doctor: and completely lost.   Aunty’s releasing a totally animated version on November 5th!   (In the UK, at least: here’s the US announcement … )

†        I’d love to have the cash to get there, Olga!   But there we go!   (I’d have to rely on a venue’s sound system, too!)

Q1) Cassius Clay (later Muhammad Ali)
Q2) The Department of Defense
Q3) Francisco Franco (Personally, I don’t think the royal family does much for us…)
Q4) Turkey
Q5) Asteroid
I don't think venues would be a problem there. I keep reading blogs of people who spend all their time travelling it seems on not a lot of money (house or pet-sitting and blogging throughout), but it needs a pretty special mind-frame, although it has its appeal. I'm back to visit my mother tomorrow so I don't think I'll be around much, but take care.
