21st June, 2022.
It’s official: today is the longest day of the year.
Google tells me that sunset will be at 10.13, here in the UK.
Which is nice.
As ever? Many have gone to watch the sunrise, at Stonehenge.
Which is nice.
It might be nice to see it in person.
Assuming the tribal drumming doesn’t give me a headache!
Let’s move on, shall we?
Yesterday’s Teaser saw Olga* and Mum† putting in their answers: with Olga scoring five out of five, and Mum on four.

The quizmaster’s decisions about scores are final.
Thank you for coming: have a good day.
* The Núñez name does get around, doesn’t it, Olga? :D At any rate, I think that’s the thing with the old European empires. Most of the planet didn’t exist … until they discovered it it. The fact native nations have lived next to the Pacific doesn’t count!
As I recall? There’s arguments about who discovered Australia: Captain Cook, the Dutch or the Chinese. The Aborigines getting there, first, gets ignored!
Now I think of it … ? I think I’ve had a question or two about Vasco Núñez de Balboa: ‘discovering’ an ocean is a good excuse!
(Hang on, Álvar Núñez Cabeza de Vaca became a ‘faith healer’? I’m going to leave that there …)
† Hello, Mum!
‡ Cheers, Trevor: I caught the typo.
As I recall? A few friends had copies of How To Boil An Egg: although I don’t know if Delia wrote one with that title. (Delia’s How To Cook is something of a classic.)
^ Yeah, I kinda saw that coming, Debbi! No: he’s not a relative. But was John Nathan-Turner’s partner: and alleged to have sexually assaulted at least one person.
