Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 19th January 2024.

19th January. 2024.

OK … it’s now no longer Thursday: but Friday!

And yes: that means I’ve had the weekly dose of one diabetes medication.

Remind me to order another box of that one: I’ve got one left … !

OK, off on a different note … ?

The BBC’s news site tells us that a trial has taken place in twenty-one pubs* in the UK: experimenting with selling wine in smaller glasses.

Apparently?

Removing the large, 250ml glass from the menu helped reduce drinking by some 7.6%.

Which sounds good.

But?

I can remember when the 250ml glasses were introduced.

I feel old … !

        Hello, Mum!

Wouldn’t you know, Olga?   TechLinked have just announced it’s a problem with AdBlocker!   Now why I’m getting a problem with it on the Mac, and my Android phone?   I couldn’t tell you!
Oh, I caught another episode of Devs, last night: it’s starting to remind me of Mr Robot.

Q1) Robocop. I can’t recall hearing of this death and didn’t realise he was related to George Clooney and his mother was Rosemary Clooney (I knew about his father).

Q2) Texas

Q3) Africa

Q4) one hundred and sixteen years

Q5) the United Nations
The more I look into these things (and with these certificate in design we get to pot around a bit and get some insights into some things, especially Google things), the less I understand the logic of it.
Thinking about it, I think my cousin recommended Devs to me, as he's always into anything related to computers and all that...
