Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 13th November 2023.

13th November, 2023.

Yes: I’m officially up early, today.

I’m also back at my weight management course.

Rather than a pointless trip to Basildon!

Heigh … ho … !

~≈¥≈~

Let’s move on, shall we?

Yesterday’s Teaser saw Olga*, Mum† and Debbi‡ putting in their answers: with Olga and Debbi scoring five out of five, and Mum on four.

The day also saw Trevor§ leaving us a message about the weather.

Let’s see how everyone does with today’s questions, shall we?

Here they are, along with the How To, License and video.

Q1)        13th November is the feast day of Saint Homobonus.   He’s the patron saint of whom: shoemakers, cheese-wrights or farmers?

Here’s yesterday’s questions and answers …

Here’s a thought …
“In my long and difficult and mature life, I have come to learn that the less I know about acting and the more I know about everything else, the better I’ll be at both acting and living.”
Jean Seberg, November 13, 1938 – August 30, 1979.
And, as it’s Fantasia’s birthday, a song …

Today’s questions will be answered in tomorrow’s Teaser.

Decisions about scores are final.

Thank you for coming: have a good day.

*        Hang on, Olga, Rocinante was the horse?   Now, why did I think that was Quixote’s fiancée … ?   I’m going to have to read the blessed thing!

        Hello, Mum!

If we can avoid neck breaking, Debbi, I’d appreciate it!   (Oh, there’s a Storm Debi doing the rounds …)

§        I’ll let Debbi know, Trevor.   (Oh, I’m due a copy of The Underwater Menace, so you know.)

Q1) shoemakers

Q2) 1940

Q3) 1997 (He was reelected twice more in the 1980s but you ask about 1990s, so I hope this is right. He didn’t last long that time, though).

Q4) Sweden had the referendum about it that day, but officially it didn’t become a member until the 1st of January 1995, I think. All of them are or founding members, or joined on a 1st of May or a 1st of January...

Q5) New York
Definitely, Rociananted was the horse. Doña Dulcinea del Toboso was the beloved (of course, she was not doña at all, but that's part and parcel of the story).
I hope the meeting went well.
