The Daily Teaser — 15-10-2015

Blimey … !

I’ve got … TIME OFF!

Ok, ok, I’ve only got today off: it’s not that exciting.

And it’s not as if I’ve got anything planned for the day.   Well …

Beyond doing some work for the blog: prepping up videos, teasers and tomorrow’s Friday Question Set.

Oh … and possibly having a nap …

But let’s move on, shall we?

Yesterday’s Teaser saw Debbi putting in hers answers: scoring ten out of ten in the process.   The ALSO saw saw Debbi*, Olga† and Mr Strict† putting in their answers to this week’s Weekly Teaser: I’ll have the answers up, for those, next week.

But let’s move on to today’s questions, shall we?

Here they are, along with the How To, License and video …

Q1) Protestors in the USA burnt their draft cards, on 15th October, 1965: the first time such action led to an arrest.   What war were the protestors protesting against?
Q2) NASA launched the Cassini probe: on 15th October, 1997.   Which planet was the probe heading for?
Q3) 15th October, 2013, saw an earthquake hit the Central Visayas region of which Pacific nation?
Q4) 15th October, 70 BC, saw the birth of which Ancient Roman poet: Virgil, Ovid or Babrius?

A7) East Sussex.
Q8) The Battle took place near which present day, East Sussex town?

Q10) Finally … the Battle is commemorated by the Bayeux Tapestry.   Is the Tapestry a tapestry?
A10) No.   Strictly speaking, it’s 270 feet of embroidery.
I’ll leave you with this thought …
“When in due course Charon ferries me across the Styx and everyone is telling everyone else what a rotten writer I was, I hope at least one voice will be heard piping up, ‘But he did take trouble.’”P. G. Wodehouse, 15 October 1881 – 14 February 1975.
And, as a nod to Orb co-founder, Alex Paterson, this …

Enjoy your day …
