Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 23-7-2016

Good lord …

What HAS happened to München?

I got home, last night, to the news that a lone gunman … was active in the German city of Munich.

Germany!

The last place I’d’ve expected to hear about a wandering gunman!

Quite what was going on, there?

I really couldn’t tell you.

My sympathies are going to the families of those killed.

My thoughts … ?

Are wondering about the man’s motives …

But let’s move on, shall we?

Yesterday’s Teaser saw Debbi* putting in her answers: scoring four out of five in the process.

Let’s see how everyone does with today’s questions, shall we?

Here they are, along with the How To, License and video …

Q1) Prince Andrew, the Duke of York got married: on 23rd July, 1986.   To whom?
Q2) NASA announced the discovery of Kepler 452b: on 23rd July, 2015.   What is Kepler 452b: an Earth-like planet, a black-hole or a red giant?

Q4) Guitarist Saul Hudson, was born on 23rd July, 1965.   He’s better known as whom?
Q5) Finally … 23rd July, 1862, saw Henry Halleck take charge of which of the warring armies in the US Civil War: Union or Confederate?
Here’s yesterday’s questions and answers …

Q4) 21st July, 1934, saw a noted bank robber shot outside the Biograph Theatre in Chicago.   Which bank robber?
A4) Public Enemy No. 1, John Dillinger.
Q5) Finally … the capital of New York was chartered: on 22nd July, 1686.   Which city IS the capital?
A5) Albany.
I’ll leave you with this thought …
“Men of power have not time to read; yet men who do not read are unfit for power.”
Michael Foot, 23 July 1913 – 3 March 2010.
And this tune …

Have a nice day …

*        No, why am I not surprised you’d notice THAT on, Debbi … ?   :D   At ANY rate?   I know there’s a few Audio Books audio books on iTunes.   As well as what LOOKS like a Dalek voice changer app for iOS.   (Jude think’s they’re too scary … )
