Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 25-11-2024 — The Return of 25

25th November, 2024: the Number, 25.

Right …

It’s officially Monday: and … ?

I’m heading into town, twice!

Yep: I’ve got my weight management class, this morning.

And a hygienist appointment at 14:00.

Heigh … wait for it, wait for it … … HUM

~≈🦷≈~

Let’s move on.

Yesterday’s Teaser saw Mum*, Olga†, and Debbi‡ putting in their answers: with Olga and Debbi scoring five out of five, and Mum on four.

Let’s see how everyone does with today’s questions, shall we?

Here they are, along with the How To, License and video.

Q1)        What’s 25 squared?

Q2)        The Quran mentions 25 prophets.   The Quran is the holy book of which religion?

Q3)        The PAL video standard has a frame-rate of 25 frames per … what: second, minute or hour?

Q4)        Britain’s M25 goes around which city: London, Manchester or Liverpool?

Q5)        Finally … ?   And according to Wikipedia?   A 25th wedding anniversary is what: a silver, ruby or gold wedding?
Here’s yesterday’s questions and answers …

Q1)        24th November is World Conjoined Twins Day.   Conjoined twins had been known as what: Siamese twins, Thai twins or Burmese twins?
A1)        Siamese twins.

Q2)        The best known such twins were Chang and Eng … who?
A2)        Chang and Eng Bunker.

Q3)        24th November, 2005, saw the government announce what: new pub licensing laws, tax increases or assisted dying?
A3)        New pub licensing laws.

Q4)        Edgar Mayer was born on 24th November, 1960.   He plays what: cello, viola or double bass?

Q5)        Finally … ?   Kabir Ali was born on 24th November, 1980.   He played international cricket for which nation: England, South African or Pakistan?
A5)        England.
Here’s a fact about the number, twenty-five …
“It is a square number, being 5² = 5 × 5, and hence the third non-unitary square prime of the form p2.”
From the Wikipedia entry on the number 25.
A song …

And an earworm§ …

Today’s questions will be answered in tomorrow’s Teaser.

Decisions about scores are final.

Thank you for coming: have a good day.

*        Hello, Mum!

I think photography’s a bit like most things, Olga.   Getting the best camera you can is one part of the story.   Learning how to use it is another.   But learning how to take a good photo, regardless, is the next bit!
The sizing issue’s been going on for a while: but at least I have plenty of room on the drives.   And this specific machine very good at exporting, and ripping, video.   Handbrake and iMovie are working very well.   (Handbrake, in particular.)

Would calling it the ‘School for Scandal’ help, Debbi?   It’s the only term I can think of.   Creating puns at this time of the morning is not a good idea!
Oh, I caught another episode of Derry Girls, yesterday: the one where Sister Michael asks the girls to clear her aunty’s house out.    Siobhán McSweeney, the actress who plays her, is left handed.   Lord knows when I’m going to use that … !

§        In an interview on today’s Today programme, Kate Nash tells us she’s had to start selling glamour photos of her rear on OnlyFans: in order to help cover the costs of touring.   I can’t see Keith Moon doing it.

Q4) London (I wouldn’t say I know it well, but I have driven on it quite a few times).

Q5) A silver wedding
Yes, you are right. And let's hope Keith Moon doesn't do it! I'm sure a lot of people would pay for him not to do it (or not to have to see it).
Good luck with both trips/appointments today.

She is also awesome in that part!
