Hmmm …
I keep an eye on politics: mostly on UK politics, as that’s where I live, but also on international politics.
So … ?
I’m very aware — as I write — that Donald Trump is winning this year’s US presidential election.
I can only think that’s going to be bad: as Trump is no friend of the UK*.

On a personal front … ?
My new washing machine has been installed.
Granted, it’s cost what — for me — is a small fortune.
And the old model damaged because of my stupidity.
But … ?
It’s nice to have it in place: and be able to clean my undies!

Did I mention I tried selling on an old computer of my sister’s?
But didn’t?
In all honesty, the thing seemed to be stuck in a permanent boot-loop: one I couldn’t clear.
However … ?
The latter’s been put into an enclosure, and securely wiped.
And can be re-purposed.
Here’s hoping it can be put to good use†.
Let’s move on.
Yesterday’s Teaser saw Mum‡, Olga§ and Debbi¶ putting in their answers: with Olga and Debbi scoring five out of five, and Debbi on four.
Let’s see how everyone does with today’s questions, shall we?

Here’s a thought …
“Success is the doing, not the getting — in the trying, not the triumph.”Zig Ziglar, November 6 1926 – November 28 2012.
And a song …
Today’s questions will be answered in tomorrow’s Teaser.
Decisions about scores are final.
Thank you for visiting: have a good day.
* Inevitably? The Today programme broadcast a speech from Trump. Equally as inevitably? I’ve turned the sound off.
† When I connected the drive to my Mac mini, it showed up as a Windows hard drive: with what looked like a dummy user account called ‘JohnS’. That account never showed up on the machine, after a reset it: nor did any kind of set up screen. Instead, once reset, it showed my sister’s login screen … then rebooted and showed her login screen … and rebooted and showed her login screen … and rebooted and showed her login screen … and rebooted and showed her login screen … and rebooted and showed her login screen … AND rebooted and showed her login screen …
One day, I shall learn how to spell ‘ad nauseam’ …
‡ Hello, Mum … !
§ That’s a very good point, there, Olga: agreeing emergency procedures in advance would be good. I don’t know if it will ever happen, though! (Have you been following the US election, Olga? I think we have a problem …)
¶ Oh, they all got arrested, Debbi‖: it’s just that Fawkes was arrested first!
Personally? I’m glad you survived that stroke: quite how I’d manage, I don’t know.
About the election … it’s looking unfortunate, from here … … (Did I mention an odd bit of rhyming slag? The word, ‘berk’? I’m sure you can look it up …)
‖ I think current opinion, Debbi, says the Democrats are more akin to the Tories: with the Republicans being more to the right … … of Adolf Hitler …
