26th October, 2022.
Right … I’ve officially done a thing: in response to other things being done!
You’re wondering what I’m talking about, aren’t you?
Basically? Apple released the latest version of their macOS operating system — macOS 13 Ventura — on Monday, 24th October.
I’ve not yet updated to it.
Partly?
I wanted to check whether it’s compatible with my machine.
It is: I checked. Although I suspect Ventura may be the last that works with my model.
We’ll have to see.
There’s also the other thing that stopped me. Or, delayed me, at least?
The simple fact my main drive was short of space for the installer.
So what I’ve done, so far?
Is move my Music.app library from the main hard drive, to one of my external drives.
That bit went easily.
But lost me all my playlists!
The songs are/were there, but the playlists they were organised into, weren’t!
I’m assuming that’s because the (copied) metadata on the (copied) songs?
Was pointing the playlists at the original versions.
And that the (default) Music.app settings needed changing.
The latter I’ve changed.
All I need to do now — before I upgrade the OS — is to set up my playlist.
Hey, ho!

One last thing, before I move on?
I’m a long time Dr Who fan: so very interested in this brief YouTube video from 15th Doctor, Ncuti Gatwa …
You can hear the Scottish accent, can’t you?
In the way he says ‘Timelord,’ and ‘TARDIS.’
Karen Gillan pronounces it, much the same way. And Glaswegian, John Barrowman, does something similar with the word ‘Dalek.’
There’s also this announcement of the new logo.
You have to love retro, don’t you … ?
Let’s move on, shall we?
Yesterday’s Teaser saw Mum*, Olga† and Debbi‡ putting in their answers: with everyone scoring five out of five.
The day also saw Trevor^ leaving us a message.
Let’s see how everyone does with today’s questions, shall we?

And a song …
Today’s questions will be answered in tomorrow’s Teaser.
Decisions about scores are final.
Thank you for coming: have a good day.
* Hello, Mum!
† It wouldn’t surprise me, Olgaª. Rishi Sunak’s the third, this year! They keep on at this rate, Buckingham Palace will need revolving doors! (We’ve had three Chancellors, and five — five, count ’em— Education Secretaries!)
Given your experience, Olga? A mental health story could well be a good one to cover: you’d get to use a lot of different knowledge bases.
‡ I notice you managed to catch it, Debbiª … what did you think … ? (Oh, it’s official: Dr Who’s going to start being broadcast by Disney+ from Series 14. I’m not totally sure I approve.)
^ I caught the train, myself, Trevor: the station’s a lot nearer my place! Funnily … ? I used to listen to Blue Danube, practising my handwriting …
Did you catch the episode … ?
ª Oh, I’ve got Trojan Horse earworming its way through my head, again. Only my mind’s replaced the word ‘Trojan,’ with ‘Frozen.’ Why? I don’t know.
‘You came in through the door, like a frozen horse … !’

Yes Ihave seen The Power of the Doctor twice. once on the day of transmission and again on Monday on the iPlayer. So much going on in the episode that i may need to watch again.
I use the bus to get to Romford as it is free travel for me as a senior citizen.I would have had to use the #9 bus to get from my place to Brentwood station and then i would have had to pay for a return to Romford.
The 498 bus stops in Western Avenue Romford are right against the vacination center.

Fingers crossed this PM lasts a bit longer. I'm not sure king and country can take many more changes. Yes, I enjoyed the event. People were talking about how to handle emotions and about the resources in the neighbourhood, and they were sharing information about different groups, etc, so it was good to see people supporting each other.
Good luck with all the computer changes. I'm sure you'll sort it all out, but it's a pain when you've got everything organised in the way you want and have to start from the beginning.
