Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 21st September, 2019.

21st September, 2019.

Yep, that’s what happen when you work late.

You feel tired in the morning!

The wonders of having a job when you’re older … !

The good — or bad — part?

Is that I won’t necessarily have enough time to have a cheeky siesta, before I go to work!

Oy vey …

Oh …

The Christmas present issue, yesterday?

I’m thinking of buying my family a group present: some sort of media streaming device.

I’ve asked around, I’ve posted a question or two on Facebook and Twitter, I’ve asked at work.

And … ?

Things like the Roku, the Chromecast and the Firestick can be streamed to from phones and tablets.

Laptops and Android boxes, you can’t: but you can use catch-up services in a browser, and play a few games.

Yes.

You’re right.

I’ve narrowed it down to two whole categories … … … … … … … … …

Let’s move on, shall we?

Yesterday’s Teaser saw Badwolf*, Olga†, and Debbi‡ putting in their answers: with Olga scoring five out of five, and Debbi and Anne on four.

Let’s see how everyone does with today’s questions, shall we?

Here they are, along with the How To, License and video …

Q1) 21st September is mentioned in the 1978 song, September.   Who recorded September?
Q2) In Western Churches, 21st September is the feast day of Saint Matthew the Apostle.   Matthew is one of the four evangelists.   Name one of the other three.
Q3) 21st September is Independence Day in Belize.   What’s the capital city of Belize?
Q4) 21st September is Independence Day in Armenia.   Marking Armenia’s independence from where?
Q5) Finally … ?   Bhutan joined the UN on 21st September, 1971.   Is Bhutan a republic, monarchy or theocracy.
Here’s yesterday’s questions and answers …

Q1) 20th September, 2019, is the planned date to storm which area in Nevada?
A1) Area 51.
Q2) The event’s being planned on what: Twitter, Reddit, Facebook or Instagram?
A2) Facebook.
Q3) The Area, itself, is owned by the US what: Airforce, Army or Navy?
A3) Airforce.
Q4) At the time of writing, how many people are interested in going to the event: two million people, one and a half million people or one million people?
A4) One and a half million people.   (Facebook defines ‘interested’ and ‘going’ as two different groups.)
Q5) Finally?   Many believe the area houses what: aliens, sharks or vegetables?
A5) Aliens.

Here’s a thought …
Dallas hit a chord back in the late Seventies and Eighties because it was the age of greed: here you have this unapologetic character who is mean and nasty and ruthless and does it all with an evil grin. I think people related to JR back then because we all have someone we know exactly like him. Everyone in the world knows a JR.”
Larry Hagman, September 21, 1931 – November 23, 2012.
And a song …

Today’s questions will be answered in tomorrow’s Teaser.

Have a good day.

*        Oh, I always do it with electronic stuff, Anne.   Most of my CDs and DVDs have gone the same way.   Don’t forget to SERIOUSLY wipe the hard drive.   I used to work at the Brentwood branch, and they tend to skimp it!   Oh, I’ve tweeted you a link!

†        Sounds like Tony Blair’s security staff needed Annoyed Dad to turn up and have words, Olga!   And yes, I’m glad to hear it got cancelled.   Sense or humour or otherwise, I’d hate to see someone get shot, innocently protesting.   As for Christmas … ?   Like I say, I’ve got it down to two categories … (I’ve ruled a shark out: they couldn’t get it in the bath … )

‡        Actually, Debbi?   Yes, Minister, Yes, Prime Minister and The Good Life were the first things I saw Paul Eddington in!
