Monday 27 July 2020

Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 27-7-2020: The Number 27,

27th July, 2020.

Right …

It’s now Monday, 27th July: which means …

Well, a couple of things.

It means I can now, officially, phone the dentist!

This tooth’s irritating.

The sooner it’s out, the better …

~≈¥≈~

It also means something else.

I don’t know if I mentioned it, but I had one, at about this time, last year: to check on my lungs.

I had a couple of nodules on my right lung, that my doctors wanted to monitor.

At last year’s scan?

I was — thankfully — clear: the nodules hadn’t grown.

I’ve a second, confirmatory scan, today: again, at Basildon Hospital.

I’m hoping, again, that the things haven’t grown.

I’ll only find that out, once the scan’s done.

~≈¥≈~

As a final thought … ?

Yes: O2’s website says everything’s lovely, fine and super, and that there’s a signal in the area.

Once again?

My mobile disagrees.

Once again, O2 is lying to me.

Let’s move on, shall we?

Yesterday’s Teaser saw Olga*, Trevor† and Debbi‡ putting in their answers: with all three scoring five out of five.

Let’s see how everyone does with today’s questions, shall we?

Here they are, along with the How To, License and video …

Here’s a thought …
“27 (twenty-seven) is the natural number following 26 and preceding 28.”
From the Wikipedia entry on the number, 27.
And some music …

If Robert Johnson’s original cut of Crossroad Blues doesn’t scare the life out of you … ?

I don’t know what will.

Today’s questions will be answered in tomorrow’s Teaser.

Have a good day.

*        He IS kind of non-stop, isn’t he, Olga^?   Mind you … I think he owes the late Robin Williams a thing or two.   Either way, I’ll have to catch more Carrey, myself.
Yep!   Going on the first episode, The Mandalorian’s quite something.   There’s sort of a Spanish connection, as well.   It feels like a spaghetti western.   And, if memory serves, a lot of those were filmed in Andalusia.
(Blimey … sounds like Sumi had a rough time of it!)

†        Midi computers, Trevor?   What on earth were they?   I’m assuming they weren’t mainframes for musicians!

‡        Just imagine writing them, Debbi^!   It amazes me what I come up with!   Oh, sorry about the amount of questions, today: but 27’s one of those numbers!   (And the playlist is something!   The Robert Johnson tune … ?   Got covered by Clapton and co.)

^        I’m planning a few more odd sets: but we’ll have to see how odd they are.

Yes, many Spaghetti Westerns were filmed in Almería and some not very far from here, Esplugas (Esplugas City they used to call it), Esplugues in Catalan.
My friend did have a hard time of it. I'm waiting to hear about her new book.
I hope you can get an appointment for your tooth and O2 get their act together. Nothing to do with the Huawei thing though, would it?
