Right …
Quite what happened there, I don’t know.
But the phone call I was due to have from my GP’s, yesterday?
Has been re-arranged for Thursday.
Quite what’s happening, there, I don’t know.
I do know I’ve got a meeting with my Job Centre case-worker, this afternoon: in person, for once.
That should be good: it’s the first time I’ve met her her in person.
Let’s move on, shall we?

* Cheesed off … ? I’m saying nothing, Olga … !
And your father wasn’t a big eater … ? I wish I could get the hang of that! Saying that … ? I’ve a lot of empty Marmite tubs around: I can start using them for my stews. That means I’ve got more room for some green vegetables!
I’ve got a meeting at the Job Centre, today: it’s around the corner from the Surgery, so I can look in and check on the eye test.
I’ll keep my eye open for the postcard, come August … !
† Hello, Mum!
‡ I’ve know Piers for a while, Edith: he’s usually helpful! And well done with yesterday’s score: five out of five. There’s a few football songs around: although Trevor’s more familiar with them. Oh, I hope you like this tune: Spanish Train is ever so slightly spooky …
^ Thankfully, I’ve got a microwave for when it’s needed, Debbi. Nice to know the watches are ticking! Let me know if The Stones of Blood sets the alarm off!

Q1) The Basque Country. I’ve never been there, although I’ve always wanted to go. One of my uncles lived and worked there for a while, although as he was a long-distance lorry driver, he didn’t spend much time there, but he lives in Galicia now, so I don’t know anybody local. Well, I’d love to visit the Basque Country and Navarre as well, not only the city. It’s on my list of the many places I have to visit in Spain.
Q2) Basque
Q3) Football
Q4) China
Q5) Contemporary art. It would feel weird otherwise, although who knows? The contrast might work!
Good luck with the meeting. It might feel weird after such a long time of meetings online, but it isn't the same as meeting somebody in person, no matter who hard they try to sell it. And yes, good thinking about the test. I remember it was a bit confusing when I worked at the hospital, as they kept changing their minds about who should do the eye tests and revisions. First, it was the opticians, then patients had to go to the hospital, and then it was the opticians again. With everything that's been going on and how busy the hospitals are, the opticians sound like a wise option, although probably it all boils down to money and funding...

This is for Edith. Possibly the ultimate soccer song. The national anthem of Liverpool.
I have stood in the old Kop at Liverpool and sung along with the locals back in the early 1970's.
Here is a version of the song.

Hi, Paul. That is wonderful for you to have a reporter to help you.
I like the song The Spanish Train. It is spooky, yet hopeful. At least that is how I see it.
Trevor, was the crowd singing "You'll Never Walk Alone" from Carousel?
Nice one, Trevor. :)
When I think of Liverpool, naturally, I think of The Beatles. :)
