Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 21-7-2022 — Guam.

21st July, 2022.

It’s now officially Thursday: and … ?

Warm: with a predicted high of 24° in Brentwood.

Thankfully?

That’s considerably cooler than last Tuesday!

By some fourteen to fifteen degrees!

I’ll be honest: that’ll make going to the Job Centre — for my projected meeting with my work coach — a lot more comfortable.

~≈§≈~

Actually?

It might just make two trips into town more comfortable.

I have to go to the Library to print off a letter: to the tribunal that’s adjudicating my claim for extra help.

Then I need to buy a stamp and post the thing.

If nothing else?   It means I get some exercise.

Just as a final thought?   I finished my review of the most recent episode of Stranger Things, last night!

The show’s looking good.

It’s a good excuse to play Running Up That Hill.

Just not Kate Bush’s version: her’s is getting over used …

Let’s move on, shall we?

Yesterday’s Teaser saw Mum*, Olga† and Debbi‡ putting in their answers: with everyone scoring five out of five.

Let’s see how everyone does with today’s questions, shall we?

Here they are, along with the How To, License and video.

Here’s a thought …
“… in Oceania, it is the largest and southernmost of the Mariana Islands and the largest island in Micronesia.”
From the Wikipedia entry on Guam.
And a song …

Today’s questions will be answered in tomorrow’s Teaser.

The quizmaster’s decisions about scores are final.

Thank you for coming: have a good day.

*        Hello, Mum!

Oh, Rutger Hauer!   Got you, Olga!   I’ll learn to follow a conversation, one day!   :D.  At Any rate?   The man will be sorely missed.   (As I recall?   He got hired for the Guinness ads because — dressed in black — he looked like a pint of the stuff.)
Oh, heat stroke?   I suspect we’ve had a few of those, Monday and Tuesday: although I’ve seen nothing reported.
I know exactly what you mean about rain!   The BBC’s weather site ha predicted it for tomorrow … since Tuesday!

        Whiffy’s the word, Debbi!

It's difficult to follow the conversation thread 24 hours later. That was one of the problems I saw when we moved to digital notes on the patients' records. If you were writing on paper, you could read and see what the previous person had written, but, online, each one was filed individually, so sometimes I spotted mistakes and things being missed because the information hadn't been passed on and the people hadn't read previous notes. (Sometimes patients disappeared and reappeared without anybody explaining what had happened). That is not accounting for things not being recorded...
I hope the meeting goes well today. Not much release here on the heat front.
And thanks for the Guam feature today. I didn't know much about the place. Well, it seems that the Spaniard got around a fair bit in the past... (and seeing how the presiden/PM travels using the official plane, they're still fond of doing so).
