Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 4th June, 2019

4th June, 2019.

Yes: it’s official.

I’ve done the test.

Basically?

I had to pick up a piece of kick from Basildon Hospital: a thing called an oximeter, if I’ve got the name right.

You have to wrap the watch like thing around your wrist overnight, whilst wearing the attached thimble on your finger.

The idea is to check your blood oxygen levels, over night.

Hopefully?

I hope I’ve carried it out, correctly.

I’d hate to have to do it again …

As I’d have to go back to Basildon, twice …

Again!

Oh, just as a QUICK thought?

I’ve just seen the stats for the new MacPro.

Twenty-eight cores?

Wheels?

Ye GODS, I want one!

Anyone got several thousand pounds spare?

Let’s move on, shall we?

Yesterday’s Teaser saw Badwolf*, Olga†, and Debbi‡ putting in their answers: with all three scoring five out of five.

Let’s see how everyone does with today’s questions, shall we?

Here they are, along with the How To, License and video …

Q1) Which cathedral’s steeple was destroyed by fire: on 4th June, 1561?
Q2) Tonga gained its independence form the UK: on 4th June, 1970.   What’s the capital city of Tonga?
Q3) 4th June, 1964, saw the birth of actor, Sean Pertwee.   In which series does he play Alfred Pennyworth?
Q4) Actor, and singer, Bradley Walsh, was born on 4th June, 1960.   What was his most recently released album?
Q5) Finally … Henry Ford completed his first, gasoline powered, car: on 4th June, 1896.   What was it called?
Here’s yesterday’s questions and answers …

Q1) Eight people were killed by Islamic terrorists: on 3rd June, 2017.   In an attack that started at which London landmark?
Q2) The attackers went on to attack which nearby shopping area?
Q3) The attackers were killed by armed officers from which UK police force?
Q4) The attackers claimed to be inspired by which group?
Q5) Finally … ?   Name any one of the eight victims …
A5) Chrissy Archibald, Sebastien Belanger, Kirsty Boden, Ignacio Echeverría Miralles De Imperial, James McMullan, Alexandre Pigeard, Xavier Thomas or Sara Zelenak.
Here’s a thought …
“My father was brought up in a theatrical background, just as I was, and his father instilled in him the need to do everything properly and take responsibility for money.”
Sean Pertwee, born 4 June 1964.
And a song: one co-written by saxophonist, Roger Ball …

Today’s questions will be answered in tomorrow’s Teaser.

Have a good day.

*        That we do, Anne, that we do!   Like I say, if you need us … (It went well enough, by the way: I’ve got to take the widget back, today, though …)

†        Aura put in one hell of a performance in this series, Olga: it’s a shame she’s moved on, in a way.

‡        It’s official, Debbi: you’re officially uneaten … !
