I have to confess, I’m … mildly sad today.

I was never a big fan of Dr John: but today?

Saw news of his death reach the UK.

Like I saw: I wasn’t a huge fan.

But?

I got sent a copy of his first album, Gris Gris, many years ago.

If you’ve not heard that?

It’s unlike anything I’d heard.

If you’ve not listened to it?

Well … 

Now is possibly the time … 

The man is no longer with us.

Q1) During World War 2, 6th June saw the start of the D-Day landings: the Allied operation to invade Normandy.   6th June of which year?

A1) 1944.

Q2) The landings were what’s known as a what: airborne assault, amphibious assault or a frontal assault?

A2) Amphibious assault.

Q3) To get to Normandy, the Allied Army had to cross what … ?

A3) The English Channel.

*        Morning, Anne^!   Glad to be able to help.   Oh, if you’ve got an Android phone, you can do the same with it.   The jokes are just as cheesy … 

†        Funny you should mention antiques, Olga^: we got my Uncle Brian an antique comic for his birthday, a couple of years ago.   The price was … quite high.   But DID include very good customer service, and a specialised airtight bag that prevents any sunlight damage.   (Actually … iTunes itself isn’t the issue, sizewise.   At least, not on more modern machines.   Individual iTunes libraries, though, can be big.   That’s why I’ve got my movie/TV library on a separate drive!)

‡        Yeah, that’s where the NHS wins, Debbi^: everyone gets served.   I’d not say ‘No’ to private health care.   But I’m very aware I couldn’t afford it.   The NHS does.   And I, like ANY of us?   Am very aware the private hospitals don’t deal with emergency case.   You get stabbed in the street, the ambulance heads for the nearest public hospital.   What happens in the US?   (Oh, have a look at today’s Teaser video, Debbi.   You’ll know the quote!)

^        Sorry about the Monty question: I really should have worded that differently!   Terence Otway commanded the paratroops on the day.   Miles Dempsey was in charge of the Second Army.   I’m going to get the hang of this, one day …
