Today … ?

It’s the (EXPLICIT WARNING) David Bowie tune, Girl Loves Me.

Possibly the only song I know written — at least partially — in the constructed slanguage, Nadsat.

And possibly the only song I’ve heard that answers the eternally baffling, philosophical question.

*        Morning, Trevor: how damp IS it out there … ?

†        I know What you mean, Olga: I don’t use a mobile for much: bar calls, texts, social media … and the occasional game of Tetris!   And, yes, you’re right: I’d not mind an iPhone.   If for no other reason than the fact it would play well with my Mac: far better than my Android^ phone.   Plus, they have a reputation for lasting.

I do tend to take more photos than some: so having a smart mobile’s handy.   And, if I want to tell someone about a shop they’d find handy, or I see a job in a shop window?   The camera’s a handy way of keeping track of that.

Actually, the phone came in handy, selling the laptop: the buyer wanted photos.

Nice to hear about the paint: it might be a cheap way of helping.

Oh … I checked on the mast: we get updated on Monday, 13th July.   Wouldn’t you know it … ?

‡        I try, Debbi, I try!   I still haven’t found that rat.  (Did I mention I’m reading this?   It’s interesting stuff: I’m looking forward to the bit about stilsuits!)

^        Although, in all fairness?   The Huawei I have isn’t too bad: the onboard software’s generally play well with macOS.   (What it would do with the version of Catalina on a Mac with the new chips?   I don’t know.)
