13th November, 2022.
Yep: it’s a Sunday,
Remembrance Sunday, if we’re counting.
Frankly?
I’m expecting it to be quiet: bar, maybe, putting the Remembrance Day service on.
It is, after all, the King’s first time — as King — to lay a wreathe.
We’ll have to see.

Just so you know … ?
I’ve done another written, and video, review. Of another episode of Star Trek Strange New Worlds: the episode called The Elysian Kingdom.
It’s rather good.
Even if the way Celia Rose Gooding draped all over a throne had me thinking about Tim Curry!

News … news, news, news, news, news!
You keep an eye on it, don’t you?
You’ll probably, then, that Twitter has recently been bought by multi millionaire, Elon Musk.
And that he’s proposed starting charging for the blue tick: the blue tick that shows a user is who they say they are.
I think we can say one thing.
As various scammers have flocked to the site: pretending to be genuine accounts.
It’s lead to suspension of various fake accounts.
And the halting of the blue tick subscription scheme.
I have to ask: who wants to find Elon, and say ‘I told you so’ … ?
Let’s move on, shall we?
Yesterday’s Teaser saw Olga*, Mum† and Debbi‡ putting in their answers: with Olga and Debbi scoring five out of five, and Mum on four.
Let’s see how everyone does with today’s questions, shall we?

And a song …
Today’s questions will be answered in tomorrow’s Teaser.
Decisions about scores are final.
Thank you for coming: have a good day.
* I get the impression the Kindle version’s genuinely free, Olga: it’s just — once the trial period’s up — there’s a monthly subscription for Kindle. Long term, it’s just cheaper to buy the book. We’ll see.
I’m keeping the fingers crossed, as well. Hopefully, given the last results? My sugar levels will be down. Now … if only I can do something with the weight … !
† Hello, Mum! See you later!
‡ That he is, Debbi: Singh seems to cover all sorts of territory. Including one about the Mathematical Secrets of the Simpsons. Which could be an interesting read …
You should see this most recent episode of Strange New Worlds, Debbi! Christina Chong’s outfit makes her look like she’s wrapped in tinfoil!
(Hmmm … I might just have to put Where Eagles Dare on my To Be Watched list …)

Good luck and fingers crossed, indeed! Kindle now uses ePub files, so one imagines one should be able to read them with any standard eReader (or App for reading ebooks). I don't know if you've ever used Calibre, but apart from allowing you to convert some book and document formats into others, you can also use it to organise your library and to read books, so I guess that might be a longer-term option.
I went for one of the monthly walks around Barcelona this morning. One that goes up one of the hills (Montjuïc), so it was a bit tiring, but always good to do.
That movie had me as confused as Clint Eastwood's character. I think that was the idea! Eastwood is the guy we identify with.
But the whole thing relies on key assistance from two women working together! How radical is that for the late 1960s? :)

Just started Night Watch and it's nice to take another trip to DiscWorld. :)
