Elon Musk is at it again!

You’ll know he’s recently bought Twitter.

Which is partly why I’ve moved to Mastodon: I’m @Cuddy2977@mastodon.world, so you know.

At any rate … ?

Elon’s kicking off, again*†: complaining that Apple have stopped advertising on the site, that they’re threatening to pull Twitter from the App Store and that they charge too much commission for apps.

Which is funny: the iOS version, like the Android App, is free.

Saying that … ?

I wouldn’t be complaining, too loudly, if I were him.

Apple still sell a lot of phones.

Complaining about it … ?   Could lose him customers.

I’ve got a meeting, today: my last meeting with the Restart work programme I’ve been attending for the past year.

And as I can’t afford the train fare, and the person who arranges the train tickets is off ill?

It’s by phone: as the exit meeting doesn’t need to be in person.

*        Apple have declined to comment.   Are you surprised … ?

†        I don’t use an app to access Mastodon on my (Android) phone.   I go in through the mobile version of Chrome.   If Apple does suspend Twitter, iPhone users should be able to do something similar.

‡        I think I know what’s happening, there, Olga: we had something similar, a couple of years ago.   One group of flats had a power cut: the rest — and the communal areas — didn’t.   If I’ve understood things correctly?   The electricity in our building comes in, in three phases.   One third of the building’s on one phase, another’s on a second, the last is on a third.   Basically, the fuses in each third can blow, separately.   It sounds like that’s what’s happened at your block.

        Sound’s like John’s got a good deal, then: if he’s renting in London!   And that Luton could be a theme for a quiz.   It’s got an airport you can sing about, if nothing else!
