Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 27th November 2022.

27th November, 2022.

Yes: it’s Sunday, again.

And … ?

One that’s seen me have not much sleep.

On the upside?

I think my written and video reviews of A Quality of Mercy — the last episode of Star Trek Discovery’s first series — are rather good.

If you wouldn’t mind heading to YouTube and liking that video … ?

It would be appreciated!

Let’s move on, shall we?

Yesterday’s Teaser saw Mum*, Olga† and Debbi‡ putting in their answers: with Olga and Debbi scoring five out of five, and Mum on four.

“The single biggest impact a person can have on the Earth is driving a car, either driving a fuel-efficient car or just driving it less.”
Bill Nye, born November 27, 1955.
And some Hendrix …

Today’s questions will be answered in tomorrow’s Teaser.

Decisions about scores are final.

Thank you for coming: have a good day.

*        Hello, Mum … !

        Very true, Olga, very true!
At any rate … ?   I had no luck, when I went into Tesco’s, yesterday.   Apparently, the branch is too small to stock, everything.   I suspect the same is true of the other branch in town.   And I suspect buying online will involve a delivery charge: which would wipe out what ever money I save!

‡        Oh, that’s what they call it, Debbi … ?   I wonder what Joseph Campbell would make of that … ?   Which reminds me, I (possibly) need to get his The Hero with a Thousand Faces: it’s supposed to be very influential.
And you’re right: it didn’t … !   (Cheers for commenting on the review!)

Q4) Richard Strauss

Q5) District 9
They might have another suggestion easier to get hold of. One of my consultants used to put a lot of sugar on his tea and I always told him off for it. Eventuallly he had a serious health problem, and he couldn't have sugar, so he ended up changing tea for flavoured herbal teas, but I am not sure that would help with the money aspect of it.
Or perhaps if somebody you know goes to a bigger supermarket might be able to get it for you, and you could stock up on it if you like it. (My father used to add plenty of salt to everything and after his heart attack he got used to eating food without added salt. Eventually one gets used to most everything. Just saying).
Oh, I saw your comment to Debbie. I read the Hero With a Thousand Faces many years back, when I was writing my PhD thesis. I remember it was quite interesting, although I borrowed it from the library. You might be able to get it through an interlibrary loan if they don't have it at your local.

Here's something I just found out. My great-grandfather has an IMDB.com listing!

https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0532929/?ref_=tt_cl_i_8

I knew he was renown on the "Irish stage" in New York, but ... this surprised me a bit!
