Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 3rd October 2023.

3rd October, 2023.

Yes: it’s Tuesday!

And?
  • Hopefully, Jude — my nephew — will have a change of clothes, when he comes over!
  • I can get some sleep!
Frankly?

I was up, late, last night: finishing my video review of Threads.

Hopefully, it’ll get a few views!

(Just so you know?   It’s about the TV film, Threads: possibly the most frightening movie ever made.)

Let’s move on, shall we?

Yesterday’s Teaser saw Mum*, Olga† and Debbi‡ putting in their answers: with everyone scoring five out of five.

Let’s see how everyone does with today’s questions, shall we?

Here they are, along with the How To, License and video.

Q1)        3rd October is Mean Girls Day: honouring the film, Mean Girls.   Who plays the film’s main character: Lindsay Lohan, Winona Ryder or Reese Witherspoon?

Q2)        Muhammad 7th became the twelfth Sultan: on 3rd October, 1392.   Sultan of where: the Emirate of Jerez, the Emirate of Badajoz or the Emirate of Granada?

Q3)        The Kingdom of Iraq became independent from the UK, on 3rd October.   3rd October of which year of the 1930s?

Q4)        3rd October, 1226, saw the death of Francis of Assisi.   He founded which monastic order: the Franciscans, Cistercians or Jesuits?

Q5)        Finally … ?   Actor, Noah Schnapps, was born: on 3rd October, 2004. Who does he voice in 2015’s The Peanuts Movie?

Here’s yesterday’s questions and answers …

Q1)        2nd October, 1968, saw Sheila Thorn give birth to what: quins, sextuplets or septuplets?
A1)        Sextuplets.   (Five of the children survived: and are my age.)

Q2)        Jamal Khashoggi was killed in Turkey: on 2nd October, 2018.   He’d worked for which newspaper: The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post or The Sun?
A2)        The Washington Post.

Q3)        Guinea declared itself independent: on 2nd October, 1958.   From which European country?
A3)        France.

Q4)        Michael Myers was expelled on 2nd October. 1980.   From where: the House of Representatives, Congress or the Senate?

A5)        Shaft.

Here’s a thought …
“People go to LA to ‘find themselves’, they come to New York to become someone new.”
From I ❤️ New York by Lindsey Kelk, born 3rd October, 1980.
And a song …

Today’s questions will be answered in tomorrow’s Teaser.

Decisions about scores are final.

Thank you for coming: have a good day.

*        Hello, Mum!   (Can you make sure you’put a change of clothes for Jude into Ruth’s car?   Cheers!)

It was a tough one, Olga: it took a couple of days.   That’s without factoring in making the video.   I had to do it in separate parts, and import them into iMovie, separately.   It would’ve taken hours, if I hadn’t.
Benefits are a bloody complicated thing, aren’t they?   Although — here, at least — the Job Centre doesn’t have to send you vacancies: just make sure you’re looking, and recording stuff in your journal.   But the various job sites I’m on make similar odd recommendations.

I’ll keep my fingers crossed you get some help, there, Debbi!   (The next ten question one is on the 8th, if that’s any consolation.   I’ve another notionally pencilled in for the 25th: we’ll have to see how that goes.)
“Jocko Homo” is definitely odd!   I think I still prefer “Whip It”: it’s far more tuneful¶!

The chap with the glasses, Debbi, is Mark Mothersbaugh: he did the music for the Get a Mac ads!
