Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 27th September, 2022.

27th September, 2022.

It’s officially Tuesday … !

Which means … ?

Not a lot.

Beyond the fact I have a phone meeting with my Restart case worker, this morning.

Which I’m looking forward to: she usually manages to find something to apply to.

~≈Â≈~

JUST as a thought … ?

I had my nephew over, last night: desperately not wanting to do his homework!

I managed to persuade him that doing it* before we made his latest video, was a good idea.

It would get it out of the way, and get him a bar of chocolate.

Bribery, pizza and making his latest video after getting his homework done?

Seemed to work.

Let’s move on, shall we?

Yesterday’s Teaser saw Olga†, Mum‡ and Debbi^ putting in their answers: with everyone scoring five out of five.

Let’s see how everyone does with today’s questions, shall we?

Here they are, along with the How To, License and video.

Q1)        27th September is World Tourism Day.   2022’s World Tourism Day is being hosted by where: India, the Ivory Coast or Indonesia?

Q2)        27th September is the feast day of Saint Vincent de Paul.   He’s a patron saint of what: horses, dogs or cows?

Q3)        27th September is Independence Day in Turkmenistan.   What’s the country’s capital city: Ashgabat, Balkanabat or Darganata?

Q4)        27th September, 1601, saw the birth of Louis 13th of where: France, Germany or Belgium?

Q5)        Finally … ?   Director, Arthur Penn, was born on 27th September, 1922.   The Penn directed film, The Left Handed Gun, was released in which year of the 1950s?
Here’s yesterday’s questions and answers …

Q1)        26th September is the Feast Day of Wilson Carlile.   According to whom: the Church of England, the Roman Catholic Church or the Orthodox Church of Satan?
A1)        Church of England. Wikipedia tells me he was a prebendary

Q2)        26th September, 2019, saw the death of Jacques Chirac.   He’d been president of where: Belgium, France or Haiti?
A2)        France.

Q3)        26th September, 1944, saw British and Polish soldiers withdraw from where: Arnhem, the Bulge or Ypres?
A3)        Arnhem.

Q4)        Director, David Slade, was born on 26th September, 1969.   His 2007 film, 30 Days of Night, is set in a small town, where: Alaska, Yukon or the Northwest Territories?
A4)        Alaska.   I watched it, twice.

Q5)        Finally … ?   Footballer, Dan Preston, was born on 26th September, 1991.   He plays for whom: Bedworth United, Accrington Stanley or Manchester United?
A5)        Bedworth United.
Here’s a thought …
“I thought that if were going to show this (violence), we should SHOW it.”
Arthur Penn, (September 27, 1922 – September 28, 2010) speaking of his hit film, Bonnie and Clyde.
And a song …

Today’s questions will be answered in tomorrow’s Teaser.

Decisions about scores are final.

Thank you for coming: have a good day.

*        It was a poster for his computer science class: about Alan Turing.   Well … it could’ve been about any one of a number of famous computer scientists: but Jude chose Alan Turning … because his name was Alan.   (I think Jude’s growing an interest in hackers: so told him Turing was the first hacker, because he invented computers.   Hopefully, Jude may read more about Turing as a result.)

Well … I’ve managed to get the bulk of the presents, delivered, Olga.   I’m just pleased Jude didn’t notice they got here when he was over!   One of them would’ve given him a BIG hint about what Mummy are Grandma are getting him!   (Game console prices are ridiculous!)
I hope Sant’s got something good planned: and won’t need you dressing up as a Caganer.   That could be awkward!

        Hello, Mum!

^        You got them spelt right, Debbi!   (I’m going to have have a word with Mum!)
And, yes, things have.   I think they’re also trying to develop things: whilst being able to keep things canon.   It looks like Spock and T’Pring’s relationship is doing to be a big theme: it looks troubled, so that it ends up in Amok Time.

Oh, I see (about presents, I mean). The topic of Jude's homework was interesting, and Alan Turing is well-worth a read, so hopefully he might want to keep reading about him. (I enjoyed the film, but I'm not sure a boy his age would... You would know better).
Last year I was a coalminer. It wasn't too bad. I don't think we have a caganer, although that's a thought! (Not because I want to dress up, but having a human size figure of a caganer would bring never ending opportunities for photos, although we shall see what we do this year).
