Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 24-6-2023 — UFO Your Way.

24th June, 2023: UFO Your Way.

Hmm … I’ve got a problem.

I’ve got a pay as you go meter.

Along with the appropriate chip and pin payment card.

Yesterday?

The dratted things decided to play up!

After I’d put fifty quid on the card!

I’ve had to order a replacement card: and machine.

But it’s going to take until 3rd August, before the machine turns!

~≈¥≈~

Let’s move on, shall we?

Yesterday’s Teaser saw Olga*, Mum† and Debbi‡ putting in their answers: with everyone scoring five out of five.

Let’s see how everyone does with today’s questions, shall we?

Here they are, along with the How To, License and video.

Q1)        Aviator, Kenneth Arnold, made the first sighting of UFOs: on 24th June of which year of the 1940s?

Q2)        A UFO is an unidentified flying what?

Q3)        These days, many prefer to call a UFO, a UAP.   In other words, Unexplained Anomalous what?

Q4)        ‘UFO’ can also stand for Ultra Fast Outflow.   An Ultra Fast Outflow is driven by a supermassive what: black hole, super nova or nebula?

Q5)        Finally … ?   UFO Yepha is a rap group from where: Norway, Sweden or Denmark?
Here’s yesterday’s questions and answers …

Q1)        23rd June is UN what day: Public Service Day, World Climate Day or Sausage Day?
A1)        Public Service Day.

Q2)        23rd June is the Grand Duke’s Official Birthday.   Where: Luxembourg, Liechtenstein or Belgium … ?
A2)        Luxembourg.

Q3)        23rd June, 1314, saw the start of which Scottish battle: the Raid of Scone, the Battle of Methven, or the Battle of Bannockburn?
A3)        The Battle of Bannockburn.

Q4)        NASA’s Space Station Processing Facility was opened on 23rd June, 1994.   It makes parts for what: the Artemis program, the International Space Station or the James Webb Space Telescope?
A4)        International Space Station.

Q5)        Finally … ?   23rd June, 2016, saw the UK hold a referendum.   On whether to leave or stay in what: the UN, EU or OAU?
A5)        The European Union, or EU.   It’s still the stupidest decision we made.
Here’s a thought …
“I haven’t had a moment of peace since I first told the story … this whole thing has gotten out of hand.”
Kenneth Arnold.
And a song …

Today’s questions will be answered in tomorrow’s Teaser.

Decisions about scores are final.

Thank you for coming: have a good day.

*        It does look good, Olga.   And I think they accept trade ins: or buy in from punters.   That could be useful, at some point.
Saint John’s Eve?   You know, that’s got may thinking of an old Matt Smith episode of Dr Who!   (It’s called “The Bells of Saint John”.   The original police boxes had a Saint John’s Ambulance logo on them: to remind you it had a first aid kit in it.   In the episode, there’s a phone behind the logo, which starts ringing!)
I’ve got the sharps bin organised: so that’s all good.   The appointment went well: I will need some latex gloves, though!   I like the look of the cake!   It’s just a shame about the blessed gas meter!

        Hello, Mum!

The comic shop’s literally around the corner from it, Debbi: I’ll have to do a video!   Oh, I’ll have my review of “Ad Astra Per Aspera” up, later, the second episode of Strange New World’s second season.   You have GOT to see this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
        Oh, you’ve got a package …
