9th June, 2023.
Right … it’s Friday.
And … ?
Well, I’m running late: it’s been one of those mornings.
But … ?
I managed to visit my chemist — and GP’s — yesterday.
To arrange for replacements for the Ozempic I’ve been using for the past few months.
I’ve now been signed up for one called Trulicity.
Here’s hoping it’s effective.
Let’s move on, shall we?
Yesterday’s Teaser saw Olga*, Mum† and Debbi‡ putting in their answers: with everyone scoring five out of five.
I’ve given everyone the point for yesterday’s first questions: as of the time of writing, the relevant Wikipedia entry gives both 8th June, and 30th April, as the founding date.
As does the current version of the entry on 8th June.
Let’s see how everyone does with today’s questions, shall we?
Q1) The military took over the government: on 9th June, 1923. The military of where: Albania, Bulgaria or Croatia?Q2) 9th June is Coral Triangle Day. The Triangle is split between the Western Pacific Ocean. And where else: the Indian Ocean, the Atlantic Ocean or the Baltic Sea?Q3) 9th June, 1790, saw John Barrie’s Philadelphia Spelling Book Arranged Upon a Plan Entirely New become the first American book to be what: published, printed or copyrighted?Q4) Johnny Depp was born on 9th June, 1963. He plays Louis 15th in which 2023 film?Q5) Finally … ? 9th June, 1981, saw the birth of actress, Natalie Hershlag: who played Padmé Amidala in the Star Wars prequels. She’s better known, how?
Here’s yesterday’s questions and answers …
Q1) Carl Laemmle incorporated Universal Pictures on 8th June. 8th June of which year: 1911, 1912 or 1913?A1) 1912.Q2) Universal is the oldest member of Hollywood’s major studios. These studios are known as the Big what: four, five or six?A2) The Big Five.Q3) Universal’s studios are in Universal City. Universal City is in which US state: Alaska, California or Florida?A3) California.Q4) As of the time of writing, Universal’s highest grossing film, worldwide, is what: Jurassic World, Furious 7 or Minions?Q5) Finally … ? Universal made a set of cartoons about Oswald the Lucky Rabbit. Oswald was co-created by Ub Iwerks: and who?A5) Walt Disney.
Here’s a thought …
“Pain is temporary, film is forever.”Michael J. Fox, born June 9, 1961.
And a song …
Today’s questions will be answered in tomorrow’s Teaser.
Decisions about scores are final.
Thank you for coming: have a good day.
* I’ll be honest, Olga, I’ve had another look at the relevant article. Which gives both dates: as I’ve highlighted in the photos. What can I tell you … ?
At ANY rate? I’ve got the Trulicity on order. I might just need a new sharps bin. The Ozempic pens have screw-in needles that I can dispose of separately from the pens: in a small sharps bin. The Trulicity pens seem to be an all-in-one unit.

† Hello, Mum! (Blimey, she’d’ve been 111!)
‡ Yeah, it gets worse, Debbi: the Wikipedia article gives both dates in 1912, for the founding … but isn’t specific about June, 1909! ‘Arrrrrrrrrrrrrghghghghgh’ is possibly the term!
It gets worse than that. Did I mention an old school teacher of mine? Mrs Hall? She always used to say “If you need my attention, hold up your right hand: your right hand is the hand you write with.”
I could get very sarcastic …

I hope the new medication works well. It sounds pretty similar, although they don't put too much emphasis on the possible weight loss. I guess the thyroid is something to keep an eye on, but I seem to remember the side-effect profile is pretty similar.
