Hmmm …

Looks like it’s now officially official — if you’ll excuse the phrase — that the English-language branch of Wikipedia is offline.

Well …

Not offline, per-sé, but blacked-out for the day: in protest at anti-piracy measures going through the US Congress.

Hmmm …

Now, I’m none too sure of the politics, there, myself: although I do know I’ve spoken in favour of the Hargreaves Report, before now, that insists the UK should pass legislation that allows backing up and copying DVDs and CDs, for personal use.

That’s a bit different, though.

And I’ve a feeling the SOPA/PIPA legislation has a completely different intent.

Thanks! :) Mr. Gates and Mr. Bezos should be thrown into a pit and forced to duke it out. They seem like peas in a pod. :) And, yeah, I publish through Amazon and use a PC with Windoze, so am I a terrible person? :)
